The Ministry for Primary Industries (MPI) seeks feedback on proposals to increase the total allowable catch (TAC) for Flatfish in the South Island East Coast (FLA 3) and Red Cod in the central/lower North Island (RCO 2) for the remainder of the 2016/17 fishing year.

The proposals include increases to the recreational and Māori customary allowances and an increase to the annual catch entitlement (ACE) for the commercial fishing.

The increases would be in place until 30 September 2017.
