The Minister of Fisheries has increased the Total Allowable Catch (TAC) and Total Allowable Commercial Catch (TACC) for STN1 (Southern Bluefin Tuna) for the 2009/2010 fishing year, effective from 26 March 2010.

The TAC has been increased from 420,000kgs to 532,000kgs and the TACC from 413,000kgs to 520,000kgs by allocating 107,000kgs of TAC ACE.

On 1 October 2010 the TAC will revert to 420,000kgs and the TACC to 413,000kgs.
