Government adopts oceans vision
The Minister for Oceans and Fisheries announced that the government is strengthening its focus on the health of New Zealand’s oceans, marine life and fisheries to address threats to them from land and sea. The government has adopted the following vision for the oceans:
Ensuring the long-term health and resilience of ocean and coastal ecosystems, including the role of fisheries.
