Five Year Permits, Vessels and ALCs are Here!
FishServe is pleased to announce that from 1 April 2007 you will be able to apply for fishing permits, vessel registrations and automatic location communicator (ALC) registrations for up to five years.
How to apply
There are a number of ways in which you can apply.
- Use the services section of this website to submit an electronic application (from 1 April - not available for ALCs)
- Download the forms from this website
- Call (04) 460 9555 to be sent an application form
- Wait until you receive your annual reissue pack as these will be included.
Please note the application forms will not be available until 1 April.

Cancelling 1-5 year permit and ALC registrations
Should you receive a permit or ALC for more than one year but then decide to cancel the registration before the expiry date, no refund on the "unused" portion will be made. The reason for this is because these are MFish application fees.

Should you receive a vessel registration for more than one year but then decide to cancel the registration before the expiry date, a refund on the "unused" complete years will be made. The reason for this is because this is a FishServe application fee.
