Ngāti Tamaterā Treaty Settlement Trust, on behalf of Ngāti Tamaterā, has requested a temporary closure to the harvest of pipi, cockles, mussels, and oysters, from Te Mata and Waipatukahu, west Coromandel. The request is for a 2-year closure.

Fisheries New Zealand invites submissions about the request from persons who have an interest in the effects of fishing in the area.

The closing date for submissions is 5pm, on Friday 19 June 2020.
