Fisheries New Zealand consultation - Proposed temporary closure of the Whangaroa area to the harvest of scallops
Nga Hapū o Karangahape marae, Whānau pani, Ngāti Kaitangata, and Ngāti Kauwau have requested a temporary closure of the scallop fishery in the Whangaroa area (Northland). The request is for a 2-year closure.
Fisheries New Zealand invites feedback on the request.
The closing date for submissions is 5 PM on Monday 10th May 2021.
