Fisheries New Zealand invites feedback about creating a new purpose under which special permits may be approved. Special permits allow certain activity that would usually be restricted under the Fisheries Act 1996. The proposed new purpose is to allow a person or agency to manage and eradicate pest aquatic life.

The closing date for submissions is 9^th March 2021.
