Environmental Protection Authority - Consultation for activities in FMA8

The Environmental Protection Authority (EPA) is the agency responsible for considering applications for marine and discharge consents for New Zealand’s Exclusive Economic Zone

On 8 April 2022, Beach Energy Resources NZ (Kupe) Limited (Beach) lodged applications for a marine consent and a marine discharge consent to carry out activities associated with development drilling of up to two development wells within the Kupe field. The Kupe field is in the Taranaki Basin, offshore and to the south of Manaia, within the area authorised by New Zealand Petroleum Mining Licence (PML) 38146

The consultation closes on 5 PM on Wednesday the 20th of July 2022.
