Environmental Protection Authority - Consultation for activities in FMA8

On 19 May 2017, the Shell Todd Oil Services (STOS) applications for marine consent and marine discharge consent were notified and the EPA is now receiving submissions on the applications.
STOS has made an application to use a jack-up rig at its Māui platforms, in the South Taranaki Bight. MPI have been contacted by the EPA decision-making committee to provide an assessment of the likely impact, if any, on commercial fishers within Fisheries Management Area 8 from the planned activities in the application.
Public submission are also now open.
