It is a legal requirement that your Certificate of Vessel Registration and any additional copies are posted to FishServe for your vessel registration to be cancelled.

If, for reasons beyond your control, you can't return your certificate (or any additional copies), use this guide to find out how to cancel it immediately

Please note: To make changes to an existing vessel registration, use the Amend a Vessel Registration guide instead. If you accidentally cancel a vessel registration, you will need to re-apply and pay the required fee again.

Cancel a Vessel Registration

Step Description
1 Click the Licences tab to begin.
Note: You must be signed into FishServe and have Vessel Manager authorisation to do this.

2 The Vessel Summary screen will display.
Refer to the Vessel Summary Screen page for more information about this screen.
Click Cancel Registration for vessel you want to cancel.

Please note: To make changes to an existing vessel registration, use the Amend a Vessel Registration guide instead. If you accidentally cancel a vessel registration, you will need to re-apply and pay the required fee again.
3 The Cancel Vessel Registration pop-up will display.
Confirm that all details are correct then tick one of the two boxes to indicate why you cannot post your certificate to FishServe.
Click Cancel Vessel Registration to complete.

4 You will return to the Vessel Summary screen and the vessel status will update to Cancelled.
