1 Click the Licences tab to begin.
Note: You must be signed into FishServe and have Aquaculture authorisation to do this.

2 Depending on your other authorisations (e.g. Vessel, Permit), you may need to click Marine Farms in the side-menu.

3 On the Marine Farms screen, click Add Marine Farm.
Note: Refer to the Marine Farm Summary Screen page for more information about this screen.

4 The Marine Farm Registration page will display.

5 If the marine farm was registered before, go to step 6.
If you are registering a new marine farm, go to step 8.
Previously Registered
6 If the marine farm was registered before, you can search for its details.
To do this, select Yes from the drop-down menu under Has this fish farm been registered before?

This will display a search window where you can search by site number or site name.
Selecting a site from the suggested results will populate the form with its details.

7 Go to step 13 if you have no additional information to add.
New Registration
8 If you are registering a new marine farm, select No from the drop-down menu under Has this fish farm been registered before?

9 Enter the required Site Details.

10 You will need to provide supporting documents for the registration. These can either be: Note: Scanned documents that are emailed or uploaded must be clear, legible, and signed by the appropriate person(s).

To upload supporting documents, choose Select File from the drop-down menu.
Next, click the Select File button and choose the file(s) to upload from your PC.

11 Next, enter the required Consented Species details.

Click Add Species to add more.
Enter as many as required.

Click the X over to the right-hand side if you need to delete species.

12 Next, enter the required Site Boundaries.
These can be entered in one of the following formats:
  • Decimal Degrees (e.g. -44.23456°)
  • Degrees/Minutes (e.g. 44°13.0736’ S)
  • Degrees/Minutes/Seconds (e.g. 44° 14' 4.416" S)
All the above examples point to the same location, despite the different numbers. This means you can’t swap between formats using the same numbers as this will result in different locations. For example, entering -44.23456° as 44°23.456’ S would result in two different locations.
Note: Decimal Degrees require a negative (-) latitude (e.g. -44.23456°).

Click Add Point if you need to add more points.

13 Once you’ve entered the required details, click Submit to complete your registration.

14 The Marine Farms screen will display.
The registration will be sent for approval and its status will change to RO Approval.

15 Once your Registry Officer has approved the registration, its status will change to Active.
Your Registry Officer will contact you if there are any questions about the application.
