FRED
Overview
FRED is a software package that allows you to run standard or customised reports from the quota share and ACE registers from your own computer.
FRED offers a set of standard reports, plus the opportunity to have customised reports written for your specific needs. Information can be viewed on screen, exported to Excel, or printed.
The data that FRED uses to create reports can be updated on a subscription basis, either daily, weekly, or monthly.
Standard Reports
The following standard reports are available:
Current TAC/TACC
This report will allow you to view current TAC and TACC information for all stocks, for a single stock, or for all stocks that have a particular fishing year (e.g. all 1 October stocks).
ACE Holdings by stock
This report will allow you to view ACE holdings for
a single stock or for a species. You can view the holdings for the current fishing year, or
the immediately preceding fishing year. You can also choose to only view those clients that
own ACE in excess of a specified amount, or only those clients that have uncaught ACE.
ACE Holdings by Client
This report will allow you to view the ACE holdings of a specific client. You can view the
holdings for the current fishing year, or the immediately preceding fishing year. You can also
choose to view all stocks, or a specific stock.
Quota Shares owned by Stock
This report will allow you to view the quota shares owned for a single stock or for a species. You can choose to only view those clients that own quota in excess of a specified number.
Quota Shares owned by Client
This report will allow you to view the quota shares owned by a specific client. You can also choose to view all stocks or a specific stock.
Quota Weight Equivalent Calculator
This allows you to calculate the amount of ACE that a set number of quota shares will generate, or the number of quota shares need to generate a set amount of ACE.
Customised Reports
As well as providing a set of standard reports, you can have reports tailored to your individual needs.
If you require reports in a specific format, or your require specific information on a regular basis, all you need to do is provide a description of your information needs to FishServe, and a customised report can be written for you. You will then be able to run your customised report as often as you want.
Future Enhancements
FishServe will continue to add new functionality to FRED based on your feedback.

MS Access 2000 is required to operate FRED. A runtime version of MS Access 2000 is provided as part of the FRED installation package.
