New Website Service • 9 November 2006
We have added another service to our website and made some small changes to our Register Reports.
The new 'Your Account Balance' page displays account balances for your FishServe and Ministry of Fisheries accounts and also provides you with a list of any deemed value transactions that are due to be processed as a result of MHR Amendments, adjustments or ACE transfers.
Balances are available for your FishServe account and Ministry of Fisheries - Cost Recovery, Deemed Values and Departmental accounts.
To view your account balances, log on and then go to 'Your Account Balance' in the 'Your Information' section of the 'Services' page.

We have also updated the Register Reports as follows:
- Memorial information has been added to Quota reports. If a stock has a memorial associated with it, the section of the Fisheries Act 1996 under which the memorial was placed will be displayed next to that stock. Memorials indicate that the stock may be subject to a proposed QMA split or amalgamation, or that there is a pending aquaculture decision that may have an impact on that stock. At present there are no quota memorials in place.
- The ACE equivalent shown on Quota reports is now a Rounded ACE Equivalent. This means that the ACE equivalent shown has been rounded to the nearest whole number to make the report easier to read. This ACE equivalent will not necessarily be the exact amount of ACE that will be generated by the quota shares at the start of a fishing year due to the rounding process used during ACE allocation.
- A 'Total Number of Shares' and a 'Total Amount of ACE' has been added to the header of the ACE and Quota reports by client. This is simply the sum of all the client's ACE or Quota shares in that report.

FishServe payment to Quota Owners • 2 November 2006
FishServe is happy to announce that it is to pay $500,000 back to quota owners. This is in addition to the $1,000,000 paid back in 2005.
The payment is as a result of further efficiencies gained and subsequent savings made by FishServe.
This will be seen on your Invoice/statements dated 31 October 2006.
